I LOVE SYDNEY

               
              Today I want to introduce about one of my favorite city, Sydney. 
               Sydney is one of the biggest city in Australia. But Australia’s capital city is Canberra not Sydney. It was hard to decide which city to be Capital as both Sydney and Melborune is almost same size of the city. The government determined Canberra for the capital city because Canberra is located between Melborune and Sydney. 

         Anyway, I love Sydney.

      One of the reason I love Sydney is they have the friendly environment for hula-hooping. A lot of times weather in Australia is good.  The sky is so blue without any cloud. Especially, Sydney has a good weather compared other city. They have a lot of park in the city so that I can easily exercise or do the training.  Also, it seems like people consider and respect Entertainer as an Artist. In Australia they have a good environment for hula-hooping and I have such a great time here. Entertainer can have a good life style of work both living and work. 

       Other good reason about Australia is people are very easy going and friendly. When I carried hula-hoop and walk around, people come to talk to me. Some people just asked to me and said “ What is it? “ or wiggled their whip and said “ Hula Hoop♪” If I carried hula-hoops in Japan, it is a bit annoying for other people. 

        Also, Australian is Japanese friendly. I stayed at States for 5 and half years. People often said "Nihao" to me (Nihao means hello in Chinese) . In the States, they considered Asian is Chinese. ( Of course it depends on where you live. ) However, in Sydney people said Konnichiwa which means hello in Japanese.

         Another reason I love Sydney is… there are many special architecture. One of my favorite place in Sydney is Circular Quey. Circular Quey is one of the sightseeing place but local people can enjoy there as well. When I look at Opera House or Circular Quey,  I recognize I am in Sydney and I am in Australia. I love walking Harbour Bridge from Rocks to North side of Sydney. I enjoy watching tiny model of Sydney at the custom’s house at Circular Quey. I look for where I used to live, where I used to work, where I know from the model. It is fun. 
I have more and more favorite place in Sydney and I can’t stop talking with this!!! 

        I sometimes heard Sydney is nothing to do and so boring from some sightseers or working holiday friends. 

     No!!!! Sydney is the beautiful place to have such a lovely people, city and environment. I traveled over 30 countries so far but Sydney is one of my favorite cities so far. I love where I live and I am happy to be here.

     今日は私の大好きなシドニーについて紹介します。
シドニーはオーストラリアで一番大きな街です。ちなみに、オーストラリアの首都はキャンベラです。シドニーではありません。
オーストラリアの首都をどこにするかの討論になった際、シドニーと二分する大きな都市の、メルボルンとシドニーで決めかねた政府が、間をとってキャンベラに決めたと聞きました。

      とにもかくにも私はシドニーという街が大好きです。


     シドニーが好きな理由の一つ！フラフープができやすい環境なこと！まず、オーストラリアは雲一つない真っ青なお天気の日が多いです。その中でも特にシドニーは天気がいいです。公園なども周りにたくさんあり、トレーニングがのびのびとできるスペースがたくさんあります。そして、オーストラリアでは、エンターテイナーをアーティストとして認識してくれていて、リスペクトしてくれます。オーストラリアはフープが伸び伸びとできる環境が整っていて、とても過ごしやすいです。オーストラリアはエンターテイナーに優しい国で、日常面でも仕事面でも過ごしやすいです。

     そして、オージーはとってもフレンドリーです。オーストラリアではフラフープを持っていると、色んな方に声をかけられます。「それはなんなの？」とか「フーラフープ♪」と言って、腰をふってフープを回すする振りをされたり。オーストラリアの方は、好意的で、とにかくフレンドリーです。日本では、フープを抱えて電車に乗っているとちょっと迷惑がられます　笑 
    
     そして、オーストラリア人は、親日です。私はアメリカで５年半過ごしましたが、アメリカでは「ニーハオ」と声をかけられることが多かったです。アメリカではアジア人＝中国人です。（住む地域にもよるとは思いますが）しかし、シドニーでは「こんにちわ。」と声をかけてくれる人が多いです。が、オーストラリアでは日本と中国の違いを認識してくれている気がします。 

      シドニーには他のオーストラリア地域にない特別な建物がたくさんあります。私の好きな場所の一つは、サーキュラーキーという場所です！サーキュラーキーはシドニーを代表する観光地ですが、現地の人がいっても、十分に楽しめます。世界遺産のオペラハウスやハーバーブリッジを見ていると、オーストリアにいるな。シドニーにいるなっていつでも、実感できます。ロックス（サーキュラキーの一部の名称）からハーバーブリッジを歩いて、ノースに渡る道も大好きです。サーキュラキーの図書館（customs House) の中にあるシドニー縮小版ののガラスはりになっている模型を眺めて、自分の思い入れのある場所を探したりするもの楽しいです。

     ちなみに、シドニーが大好きなので、おススメスポットはマイナーなところを含めてまだまだたくさんあって語りきれないです！

     観光客や、ワーホリの方でシドニーにこられて、つまらないねって言って帰られる方の声を聞いたこともあります。そんなことないです！！シドニーは人も街も環境もとっても素敵な場所です。私は世界30カ国以上旅してきましたが、シドニーは大好きな街の一つです。私は私の住んでいる場所が大好きです。こんな素敵な場所に住めて幸せだなって思います。
